This Man

This morning, as I was listening to this song (I have the CD of the unplugged version) on my way to work, the lyrics are somehow speaking clearly to me and asking me to answer the questions (the chorus from the lyrics). I pause and reflect to the questions, and I can't seem to answer the questions simply.

In my mind, I am asking God:
"Lord, if I say 'YES', that wouldn't be possible. And Jesus's sacrifice on the cross will be in vain."
"If I say 'NO', I wouldn't be here for sure because I wouldn't be saved by His grace."

As I felt deeper into finding the right answer to the questions, I believe the Holy Spirit was the one speaking to me of the following: "You do not need to answer the questions. What's left for you is to respond by saying:

THANK YOU LORD!! THANK YOU LORD FOR YOUR SACRIFICE ON THE CROSS! YOUR SACRIFICE IS NOT IN VAIN. YOU HAVE SAVED ME! YOUR LIFE ON EARTH PREPARED ME THE WAY. YOUR DEATH ON THE CROSS SHOWED ME THE WAY. YOUR RESSURECTION ON THE THIRD DAY GUARANTEED ME THE WAY. MY SALVATION'S SURE IN CHRIST ALONE!

This Man
Jeremy Camp

In only moment truth
Was seen revealed this mystery
The crown that showed no dignity he wore
And the king was placed for all the world
To show disgrace
But only beauty flowed from this place

Would you take the place of this man
Would you take the nails from his hands
Would you take the place of this man
Would you take nails from his hands

He held the weight of impurity
The father would not see
The reasons had finally come to be to
Show the depth of his grace flowed with
Every sin erased he knew that this was
Why he came

And we just don't know the blood and water flowed
And in it all he showed just how much he cared
And the veil was torn
So we could have this open door
And all these things have finally been complete
